We recognise the importance of privacy and security to your Internet shopping experience.
MIR-AUS™ is committed to supporting the National Privacy Principles which set clear standards for the collection, use, storage and access of personal information which is obtained as part of business operations. To process your order we require certain information from you, e.g. your address. If you do not provide us with this information we will not be able to supply the products or services you have required. The information you supply to MIR-AUS™ will only be used to provide you with the products and services you have requested and unless you advise us otherwise, we might also send you our annual catalogue and special offers.
Once you have confirmed your order, you will enter your credit card details via a 256bit SSL secured web page provided by GoDaddy, CBA Bank and PayPal™. This will enable us to process your order with the minimum delay.
As a PayPal user, you’re protected from any payment that you did not authorise.
If you prefer not to enter your credit card details via our secure page, simply select the "Credit Card via Phone / Fax" payment method and phone us on 1300 213 589 during business hours with your payment details.
Over new system with CBA bank, Process payment directly from CBA bank website.
You can use any Visa and MasterCard. (they do not have to be CBA issued cards)
The CBA payment gateway means that after electing to purchase on line you are redirected to the CBA web site where you will see the following message before entering your credit card details:-
"Your details will be sent to and processed by The Commonwealth Bank of Australia and will not be disclosed to the merchant."
Your card is validated on the line in absolute security in a matter of seconds.
MIR-AUS never sees or retains your credit card details.
That is between you, your Card Issuer and CBA, thus giving you absolute security.
There are visual clues on the screen that tells you when you have entered a secure environment. On your browser window lower status bar, the key or padlock icon, which is normally open or absent, appears as a solid icon.
As part of the engine used by the Online Store, there are secure processes built in. Specifically, the engine ensures;
While browsing our website your session is tracked by a session identifier embedded in the URL. This session identifier is generally visible in your browser's address bar. Your session identifier tracks your basket contents and is also associated with your registration if you are currently logged in. For your security the session identifier is created with a 256bit (32 characters) crypto hash, and also expires after several hours. The chances of anyone guessing a currently active 256-bit session identifier is, therefore, 2^128 (which is a very big number around 38 digits long) - essentially impossible.
To ensure your security, you should never email a URL containing your session ID, and you should certainly never post a URL containing your current session ID on a public forum. Each product page has an "email page link" button for the purpose of generating a link that is not associated with your current session, and will therefore not expire with your session identifier. In addition, for your absolute security, a "Logout Session" link is also provided at the top of the home page (when you are logged in), which allows you to immediately expire your current session so it is no longer accessible.
We do not pass on any of your information to anyone else. We will use your personal information only for the purpose you gave it to us. From time to time we may send you product information (including special offers) in the mail or by email. If at any time in the future you wish to remove your name from our customer list you need only to ask. As required by the Privacy Act you may also check and correct the accuracy of personal details at any time. To do so please contact our Head Office on 1300 213 589
